Wayne Pomario holds the office of President on Cycling BC’s Board of Directors.
As a competitor, Wayne has raced in international level competition on the road, and was both a provincial and national elite individual Time Trial champion. He has also been involved in organising numerous events at national and international levels. Wayne continues to contribute to the sport as a UCI International Commissaire (A Grade) for Road, Track and Cyclo-Cross. Wayne was recently appointed as a Commissaire for the 2007 World Youth Track Championships and Chief Commissaire at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Wayne Pomario entered the sport of cycling while studying at university. He later also served as Chairman of the provincial sports body.

Wayne was elected Vice-president of the South African Cycling Federation before immigrating to Canada. Upon his arrival, he was inducted into administration almost immediately as Vice-President (Road and Track), and then President of Cycling British Columbia. He is chairman of the Canadian Cycling Association’s Officials Committee and serves on the Interprovincial Council of the CCA.
