National Level Mountain Bike Commissaire course

Event Information

Cycling Canada is coordinating a National Level Mountain Bike Commissaire course scheduled to take place in Calgary March 6-8th 2015. The course will be presented in English by Jim Bratrud, UCI Designated Course Instructor.

The registration deadline is Thursday February 26th. Candidates will receive confirmation as registrations are received.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

In order to be considered a candidate for National Commissaire, the person must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of application. The person must also have held the status of Provincial A Level Commissaire in the applied cycling sport for a minimum of 2 years.

 

The person shall also have received a favorable review from the Provincial Chief Commissaire, or other provincially recognized competent authority for commissairing matters, in the province/territory in which they reside.  Participants must be recommended for the course by their PSO.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Eligible candidates must complete the attached application form and return to CC along with the registration fee.

A minimum of 6 candidates are required to hold the course, and registration will be capped at a maximum of 12 candidates. Registration forms will be accepted in the order that they are received.

 

COURSE SUMMARY:

(Tentative outline – subject to change)

  • Friday, March 6th-6pm-8pm -Classroom
  • Saturday, March 7th– 8am-4pm – Classroom session.
  • Sunday, March 8th – 8am-4pm – Classroom session
  • NOTE: Participants must complete a practical component for Mountain Bike at an approved National level event during the 2015 or 2016 season.

ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL:

Candidates are responsible for their own costs and arrangements associated with travel, accommodation and meals.
