Event Information

On-site registration will cost $10 more per entry (no exceptions). Please register online! Elite and Junior Expert categories must register a minimum of 48 hours before the event (Friday deadline). Late registration for Elite and Junior Expert will result in a $50 fine.

Wednesday, July 20:

• Course closed for taping and marking at 4:00pm till close.

Thursday, July 21:

• Course closed for taping and marking
• Course closed for inspection by Cycling Canada TD 2:00pm-3:00pm
• Final course adjustments and on-foot inspection only 3:00pm to 7:00pm
• Online registration closes at 6:00pm

Friday, July 22:

• Registration office open 9:00am to 6:00pm in Guest Services (on-site deadline for Elites and Juniors)

• Course open to registered riders only (all categories) for un-supervised on-bike inspection.

*Note: No marshals on course, Bike Park rules apply (NO HIGH SPEED RUNS!)
• 6:00pm- 6:30pm riders meeting for DH Canadian Championship Categories at registration

Saturday, July 23:

• Registration office open 9:00am to 1:30pm in Guest Services

• Course open for training (all categories) 10:00am to 12:00pm (lift starts loading at 10:00am)

• DH Course Elite and Jr. only training 12:00pm to 1:00pm

• DH Course open for training (all categories) 1:00pm to 3:30pm
• Course closed for maintenance 3:30pm-3:45pm (No riders on course)

• DH Seeding Runs (Elites and Juniors) 3:45pm to 5:00pm

Sunday, July 24:

• DH Course open for training (all categories) 10:00am to 11:30am (lift starts loading at 10:00am)

• DH Course Elite and Jr. only training 11:30am to 12:00pm

• 12:00pm-12:15pm Course closed for maintenance (no riders on course)

• DH Racing (all categories, National Championship categories last) 12:15pm to 4:30pm

• Awards all categories 4:30pm (ASAP after finish of race)

National Championships and BC Cup Points:

All BC Cup categories will be contending for the National Championships as well as BC Cup points, with the exception of U15 men and women (who are BC Cup only). Note that for the purposes of the National Championships, Junior Women (BC Cup) will be separated into U19 women and U17 women. These two categories will be re-combined to determine BC Cup Junior Women points.

Chairlift fee discounts are available to all registered racers, Friday through Sunday; $24/day plus GST (40% discount) for all-mountain access.

Event Parking & Camping:

In order to effectively manage the weekend’s traffic we ask that all competitors please park in Parking Lot #2, behind Bento’s Day Lodge. Event camping is available at the end of P2 for at $10 per night, public camping is in Parking Lot #4, at a fee of $20 per “site” each night. Click here to view a map of the Sun Peaks village.

This race is part of the Downhill BC Cup Series, featuring BC‘s top mountain bike events.

Series points are calculated from the results of each race and riders are ranked in the series standings. Overall series winners will be presented with their award at the series final race, in Fernie, Aug. 26-28.
