MTB Skills Clinic for Aspiring Western Canada Summer Games Athletes

This weekend potential Western Canada Summer Games athletes will head to the Sunshine Coast to race the Sunshine Coaster Short Course XC race, on Saturday, May 2nd, for the second qualification race in the WCSG Qualification series.

Road and mountain bike athletes will put their mountain bike skills to the test in the race, followed up with a 1.5 day mountain bike skills clinic to brush off a few more cobwebs.

Riders will meet at the race venue at 3pm on Saturday for a meet and greet with 2014 Mountain Bike XCO World Champion, BC’s own Catharine Pendrel. This will be followed by a two hour skills session and spin, ending at Up the Creek Backpackers Inn in Roberts Creek.

Sunday session kick’s off at 7:30am SHARP, leaving from Up the Creek Backpackers Inn for a day of riding.  Riders will have a packed lunch and plenty of ride snacks to fuel them through the day.  Riders will end their ride at the Ferry Terminal and hop on the 4:30 pm ferry to Horseshoe Bay.
