Ride Like a Girl 2016 – Apply Now

Ride Like a Girl is accepting applications until February 25th, for their 2016 Mentorship and Bursary programs. In 2016, they will be matching five young female riders with mentors who are professional female athletes in their discipline, and providing two bursaries valued at $500 each to assist with race/event expenses.

Their mentorship program provides opportunities for young female athletes in British Columbia, up to the age of 20 years old, and currently racing cross-country, downhill or enduro mountain biking, or who are honing their skills as a freeride athlete. The program is geared towards those who demonstrate athletic potential and want to take their mountain bike racing to the next level.

Ideal program participants will have the following qualities:

  • desire to improve mountain bike skills
  • involvement in the mountain bike community (eg. through leading rides, volunteering with trail days or other activities)
  • realistic goals for the 2016 season
  • demonstrated race experience/results
  • compelling reason that the program would be of benefit
