Jeremy’s Roubaix is a staple on the BC road cycling scene. Based in the City of Pitt Meadows, it started out 13 years ago as Harris Roubaix, and is now named Jeremy’s Roubaix after BC cycling legend Jeremy Storie. The race is based on the spring classic bike race Paris Roubaix, substituting cobble stone roads for gravel dyke paths.

Jeremy Storie was a fixture in BC and Canadian road and track cycling. He mentored and coached many of our county’s top cyclists including Steph Roorda, Jasmine Glaesser and Laura Brown of Canada’s National Women’s Track Endurance team.   His work in cycling also included a strong dedication to developing youth cycling and to challenge the system for gender equity. Jeremy died suddenly in February, 2013.

Proceeds from this race will go to help one of his former athletes, 17-year-old, Maggie Coles-Lyster, to continue to pursue her cycling dreams and to attend World Championship races in 2016.

Jeremy’s Roubaix is the first race in the Cycling BC Premier Road series. CLICK HERE for full series information.
