Community Theory

This module is officially titled: NCCP Community Cycling Practice Planning in the Coaches Association of Canada LOCKER system.

The module helps you learn how to teach skills and run a practice for participants in the “Active Start” and “FUNdamentals” stages of the Long Term Athlete Development Model.

Participants work through various individual and small group activities to complete Cycling BC’s Community Coach journal and prepare a practice plan. Journals are due within seven days of our final session to help consolidate learning outcomes. Once complete, participants can register for an upcoming outdoor practice teaching module, including Basic Skills.

The module is facilitated online over 2 x 2-hour sessions. Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in each session. Please ensure that your video and microphone are working well and that you have completed the pre-event homework (included in your registration confirmation email). Participants who miss a session can watch the recording but must submit their assignment before the next session.

This event is organized and facilitated by Cycling BC.
