DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT – Register for new April 2nd course\nThis course will train coaches who would like to work with their local cycling club or with Cycling BC’s iRide program. \nIf you are a prospective iRide Sprockids leader\, please refer to our iRide Sprockids Training course on April 1st-2nd\, 2017 \nLet’s Ride\nThis community initiation course is designed for coaches who will primarily work with novice\, pre-competitive cyclists at the community level\, including participants in the Active Start\, FUNdamentals and early Learn to Train stages of athlete development (outlined in Cycling Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development Model). The program is simple\, based on a number of pre-designed lesson plans\, and adaptable to the varying skill and ability levels of participants. The focus of the program is on having participants develop skills that are basic to MTB\, BMX\, and Road\, in a controlled\, off-road\, off-trail setting such as a sport field or parking lot. \nBasic Cycling Skills\nThis workshop helps coaches learn how to teach basic cycling skills. SUMMARY:Bradner Road Race
DESCRIPTION:The long-standing Spring Series returns to the Lower Mainland! The series will consist of 12 road races\, including 4 Spring Classics. While many consider these “training” races for bigger events later on in the season\, the Spring Series consistently offers some of the hardest fought competition all year\, and the Classics will feature Master-friendly categories and some of Escape Velocity’s biggest\, bestest courses. These races are run regardless of the weather\, so dress accordingly and remember Rule #5. The one exception to the weather rule is snow. \nRace Day Schedule: \n\nPre-registration closes at 11:59 PM the Thursday before a race.\nRegistration and sign-on opens at 8:30 AM on race day. We suggest arriving one hour before your start time.\nRegistration and sign on closes 15 minutes before race time.\nPlease leave extra time for registration and sign-on at your first race of the season or if you are completing day-of registration.\n\nFor a full schedule and details on the Spring Series\, visit the Escape Velocity Spring Series page.
