SUMMARY:Smith Creek Chainless Race
DESCRIPTION:Smith Creek Chainless Race is a charity event in support of Adaptive Adventures.  \nThe Smith Creek Chainless Race is a downhill mountain bike race aimed at a stress-free environment with max fun potential! Participants will pedal to the top of the Smith Creek Trail Network in West Kelowna\, BC\, where the chain on their bike will be removed. They will then race back down the designated trail to the bottom while trying to set the fastest time they can. \nOnly the downhill portion is timed. \nAbout the fundraiser:\nAdaptive Adventures has been something I’ve seen around the valley for some time now. I have friends who have been out on some adventures with them and they provide such an incredible service for a community that typically has so many barriers in front of them. The team at Adaptive Adventures do an incredible job of removing these barriers with the specialized adaptive equipment the have. \n

Ride at your own pace\, challenge yourself\, or simply enjoy the journey—all while honouring Kris’s legacy of making cycling welcoming and fun for everyone. \nThe Kris Yip Memorial Fondo is proudly organized by the Kris Yip Memorial Foundation\, dedicated to honouring Kris’s – kindness\, sportsmanship\, and inclusivity. They’ve been making the climb for 16 years to help improve outcomes for the more than 800 people per year diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. \nMaking the climb this year means doubling your impact!
