SUMMARY:NCCP: Community Theory
DESCRIPTION:Community Theory\nThis module is officially titled: NCCP Community Cycling Practice Planning in the Coaches Association of Canada LOCKER system. \nThe module helps you learn how to teach skills and run a practice for participants in the “Active Start” and “FUNdamentals” stages of the Long Term Development. \nParticipants work through various individual and small group activities to complete Cycling BC’s Community Coach journal and prepare a practice plan. Journals are due within seven days of our final session to help consolidate learning outcomes. Once complete\, participants can register for an upcoming outdoor practice teaching module\, including Basic Skills. \nThe module is facilitated online over 2 x 2-hour sessions. Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in each session. Please ensure that your video and microphone are working well and that you have completed the pre-event homework (included in your registration confirmation email). DESCRIPTION:Learn to Race ROAD54\nBuilding upon our successful winter pilot\, this event welcomes Category 4 & 5 riders who wish to improve their skills and confidence riding in a group and/or competitive setting. \nThis affiliated event is instructed by registered Cycling BC road instructors and administered by Escape Velocity Cycling Club. As a result\, this offering is unique. Your purchase includes a skills session on May 3rd and a race-entry for the Cat 5 race on May 10th. During your first race\, the instructors ride in the race\, providing individualized support and meaningful feedback after the event. \nParticipants who carry a Cycling BC Provincial Race membership ($120) in Road Category 5 and demonstrate the required competencies may upgrade to category 4\, bypassing the standard requirement of completing three cat 5 events. Learn more here.
