DESCRIPTION:Becoming a cycling commissaire is an excellent way for racers and enthusiasts to gain a deeper understanding of cycling and broaden their involvement in the sport they love. As a commissaire\, you are able to represent Cycling BC as a trained professional to ensure fair and safe competition. There are opportunities for paid travel and advancement from provincial to national and international certification. \nThis course will be conducted over two evenings and is designed to be accompanied by an experiential learning component at local races following the training. The course will cover the rules\, teach you how to read a license\, handle registration\, provide information about start/finish procedures\, manual timing and much more. At the conclusion of the course\, you will have a greater understanding of the role of a commissaire\, increased knowledge of the road rules as well as understand how to progress through the ranks from a level C trainee to an international commissaire. DESCRIPTION:Throwdown Thursdays is back for 2022.  This evening  race format on the 12 Hours of Glenridge private race course is fast\, flowy\, and technical enough for seasoned pros yet easy enough for those newer to racing.  The 80 acre private venue provides adequate social distancing\, parking\, and room for that pre/post race chat we’ve all been missing. \n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates: \n\n\n6 Race Dates to get the Mountain Bike Season Started. \nThursday March 31st \nThursday April 7th \nThursday April 21st \nThursday May 5th \nThursday May 26th \nThursday June 2nd \n\n\nTime: \n\n\nVenue opens at 5:30 pm.  Racing starts at 6:30 pm. \n\n\nFormat: \n\n\nEvening multi-lap format on Provincials course. \n\n\nDistance: \n\n\nRace time approximately 50 minutes.  \nChoose A or B category at sign-on. \n\n\nCategories: \n\n\nYouth 16 and under \nAdult \n\n\nTiming: \n\n\nStrava timing for full course and segments.  Hand timing for official results.  Results posted on the website. \n\n\nRace plates: \n\n\nRace plates will be issued \n\n\nRegistration: \n\n\nVia CCN.  No onsite cash.
