Join your fellow industry cycling enthusiasts in riding to the top of Seymour mountain with all proceeds going towards helping homeless youth. \nIt has long been known (by those dressed in lycra)\, that cycling is the new golf and there is no better way to build relationships than cycling with friends. Mount Seymour is a challenging climb and whether this will be your first or fiftieth time up we encourage you to test yourself in the company of your peers for a tremendous cause. Your donation will provide a hand up (and not a handout) to the 1\,400 youth who seek out Covenant House’s help each year. \nRegistration is by a minimum donation of $50 made directly to this page. Ethiopia is a country that has been ravaged by war\, drought\, dysentery\, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases\, and one of the consequences of this is a country now plagued by poverty. Canadian Humanitarian believes that by providing individuals with literacy and vocational skills it will also provide them with the tools to break the cycle of poverty\, and by doing so they will be able to shape their own lives in a positive way. Learn structured training\, competition programming\, and skill development in this 14-hour in-class course designed for coaches that work with athletes aged 12 and up in most cycling disciplines. \nThe Ready to Race! coaching stream is structured as follows: Learn More\nReady to Race! Introduction to Competition (R2R) is the context for coaches who will primarily work with new competitive cyclists at the community and club level. These athletes will likely be in the Learn to Train to Train to Train stages of LTAD\, although the context could apply to any new racer of any age. These athletes have basic but developed cycling skills and the desire to begin competing within a structured training and competition program. The event is geared to all abilities and ages of cyclists with the number one goal of having a great and spoooky time on two wheels. \nWHAT IS CYCLOCROSS?\nCyclocross is a discipline of cycling that is growing quickly due to its accessibility (mountain bikes welcome in novice categories) and inclusive atmosphere (no one is serious here).
