SUMMARY:BVC Mania
DESCRIPTION:This March the BVC is proud to present the very first BVC MANIA racing weekend! Whether you’re an endurance rider\, sprinter\, junior\, or just a casual Friday Night Racer\, there’s something for everyone. We promise this’ll be some track racing to remember. Huge shoutout to our race director David Gerth for organizing the event! \nFNR MANIA – Friday\, March 14 \nWe’re kicking off the racing weekend with Friday Night Racing like you’ve never seen before. We’ve got 3 surprise endurance races planned. There will be race announcing and DJ’ing by Jeff Kemp and Sarah Koney. Then we’ll finish off the night with podiums and celebrations. \nSPRINT MANIA – Saturday\, March 15 \nAll day sprinting split into a morning and afternoon session. At 9:00 AM we’ll start the day with flying 200m sprints to seed everyone into time-based brackets for a two-round match sprint tournament. Then in the afternoon we’ll start with a 500m match sprint which will count towards the overall sprint omnium and seeding for the Keirin tournament. \nNot a sprinter? No problem! We’re stacking the podiums with awards for best overall\, youth rider\, woman rider\, and more \nENDURANCE MANIA – Sunday\, March 16 \nCheck back again later to see more details! \nJUNIOR MANIA – Friday\, March 14 – Sunday\, March 16 \nWe’ve got youth racing\, clinics\, and workout sessions scheduled all weekend long including a U17/JR training camp run by Tim Sherstobitoff. This 6km square course is packed with action. Fast false flats\, off camber corners\, punches\, and a stretch to recover and admire the view. \nMay the Luck of the Irish be with Ya. \nLocation: 256th Street & 8th Avenue\, Langley Township\, Langley\, B.C. \nGet all the event details at https://www.bikereg.com/southie-circuit \n\nFrom the organizer… \nAbout the THRASHERS BC Spring Series\nThis spring\, THRASHERS BC is super stoked to bring you a 6-race series featuring 3 NEW COURSES!!! (You know I love crafting up new courses for y’all) \nMarch 15 – The Southie Circuit – the 6km super fast\, super circuit. A fan favourite with great views and stellar vibes. \nMarch 22 – The Murchie Circuit – a new 6km course on familiar roads. This circuit has more twists\, turns\, dips and kicks than any other. A nice parcour for the opportunists. \nApril 12 – The Aldergrove Long RR – the OG classic race that is always harder than it looks on paper. Often the wind and the weather wear you down more than the competition. \nApril 19 – The 19th Bradner RR – BC’s most iconic race course lives on! \nApril 26 – Murchie Supreme! – a new 17km super lap featuring long straights\, country rollers and an incline to heaven. This course is Supreme! \nMay 24 – The Monument of BC – our 4th Spring Monument and yet another new course for y’all! An undulating parcour with a steep berg worthy of Flanders. An epic conclusion to the spring campaign. \n  \nThe Race within the Races\nThe General Team Competition and Green Jersey Competition\nOnce again there is more than individual stage wins up for grabs! The Spring Series is also an overall contest for teams and individuals. Each race will have an intermediate sprint for points and the finish placings also award points. Throughout the series individuals collect points for their team and themselves within their categories. After the finale\, the team and individual in each category with the most points is awarded and showered with accolades. We have 3 discounted Novice categories. \n\nOpen Women – It’s so awesome to see this field grow over the last few seasons. We are seeing women teams develop and tactical racing on display. Love it! 🚴🚴🚴\nOpen Men – if you wanna learn to race you gotta jump in one. Get in on the thrillz my friends!\nMen’s Beer League 40+ – for the gentlemen who want to race but not get dropped by the fast masters. Come enjoy the afternoon\, I’ll buy you a beer for your efforts.\n\nVolunteer and race for free! We always need help at registration. If you are racing in the afternoon\, consider coming early to help and get your race comp’d. \n\nOnline registration is open until 6pm Friday before each race.
