DESCRIPTION:The DEVO Spring Classic Stage Race is the traditional 3-stage omnium event\, now later in the season: May 9 & 10. Riders can enter one or all three stages but to be considered for the omnium a rider must do all three stages. The dreaded Snake road course and less-dreaded River Road TT will be joined by a crit at the long-dormant Langley Speedway\, a fully closed 400m paved oval. \n\nPrice\nAdults: $105 pre-reg\, $120 day-of; $35/stage\nU13/U15/U17: $45 pre-reg\, $60 day-of\nU19: $65 pre-reg\, $80 day-of \n\nWhere\nParking\, registration\, and start for the road race and TT will happen at Aldor Acres. The criterium will be at the old Langley Speedway in the Campbell Valley Park. \n  \nWhen\nMay 9 (am): Langley Speedway crit\nMay 9 (pm): River Road Long TT\nMay 10 (am): Snake RR \n  \nA word about the criterium parcours: it is fully paved and closed to traffic. No gravel\, because what kind of lunatics would run a gravel crit? \nThe Time Trial is at 1:30 pm Saturday. We will begin with the slowest and end with the fastest categories\, with no break in between groups. Starts will be at 30 second intervals so if we have 100 riders the whole thing will be done in less than 90 minutes. \nSunday’s road race starts at 12:30 for Elite races\, 10:00 for other categories.

DESCRIPTION:The 2020 HAYMAN CLASSIC HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to the Covid-19 pandemic. \nWelcome to the 2020 Edition of the Hayman Classic\, a truly special event. \nComprised of four races over three days\, it stands almost alone on a yearly cycling calendar that caters overwhelmingly to adults. What makes the Hayman Classic distinctive is that it is open only to young cyclists\, meaning those aged 13 to 19. \nMore than that\, the races are designed to give them a European-style experience of riding in groups or alone over courses that challenge their skill\, strength and stamina against top juniors from British Columbia\, Canada and the United States. For coaches and trainers\, it’s a chance to take the measure of the next generation of cyclists. \nFor Ron Hayman\, the former Olympian and pro racer behind the Hayman Classic\, it’s an opportunity to nurture and encourage young riders\, but more important to give them a chance to compete\, to have a “real-world experience\,” as he puts it. Too often\, he says\, young riders devote hours and hours to training but rarely if ever have the chance to succeed – and fail and learn – from a hard-fought race. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nLocated 10 minutes east of Fort Langley\, Glenridge Acres will start it’s 6-race series this Thursday at 7:00pm.   The Offroad Time Trial format uses last year’s 12 Hours of Glenridge course\, a 9km fast and flowy single track loop with plenty of climbing.
