DESCRIPTION:The 2025 BC Provincial Downhill (DH) Championships will be hosted in combination with the Big White BC Cup race on Sunday\, August 24\, 2025. \nJoin us at @bikebigwhite for the Big White BC Cup  & BC Provincial Downhill Championships\, taking place from August 22nd to August 24th and end the season by taking on our bone-rattling Catapult Ranch race course. The race will feature all standard BC Cup categories\, including unlicensed ‘open’ and non-championship categories. All racers welcome – see you out there. \nTo qualify for a provincial championship\, riders must have either a BC Provincial Race licence or a UCI Race licence and must be a resident of BC. Get your 2025 Cycling BC licence today. \nPlease review the Event Technical Guide before registering. \nRegister by August 20th at 11:59 a.m. All registrations must be completed online. No late registrations. \n\nVolunteers Needed – Be a part of the behind-the-scenes action and help make this event a success; a front-row seat to the action is guaranteed as a course marshal. Course marshalling at a downhill bike event is a vital role that puts you at the center of the action. Positioned on the mountainside\, you ensure the safety of both riders and spectators. As a course marshal\, you’re more than just an observer—you’re crucial to the race’s success. Your responsibilities include signalling to riders\, coordinating with the event team\, and keeping the course clear. All volunteers receive an event t-shirt\, lunch\, and a complimentary Bike Park Ticket.

Participants will pedal to the top of the Smith Creek Trail Network in West Kelowna\, BC\, where the chain on their bike will be removed. They will then race back down the designated trail to the bottom while trying to set the fastest time they can. \nOnly the downhill portion is timed. \nAbout the fundraiser:\nAdaptive Adventures has been something I’ve seen around the valley for some time now. I have friends who have been out on some adventures with them and they provide such an incredible service for a community that typically has so many barriers in front of them. The team at Adaptive Adventures do an incredible job of removing these barriers with the specialized adaptive equipment the have. \n

DESCRIPTION:Located just 45 minutes from Kamloops\, BC\, the Sun Peaks Bike Park offers 2\,000 feet of lift-access vertical on Tod Mountain and an additional 1\,559 feet of lift-access vertical on Sundance Mountain. With over 80km of trail ranging from freeride machine-built cruisers to fully pinned DH singletrack\, plus a carpet lift-access Progression Park\, every level of rider will find their new favourite trail in Sun Peaks. If that’s not enough\, on the XC side\, riders can pedal up Altitude on Tod through wildflower meadows and forests adding an additional 500 feet of technical descent. \nAll the comforts of home are located right at the base of the mountain in the bike-friendly village. Outside of the park\, the valley and Mt. The 2026 55+ BC Games will take place in Kamloops from September 8-12\, 2026. Participants will be attending from all 12 zones within the province to compete in a possible 27 sports. In addition to high quality competition\, the Games experience includes social events\, which highlight the host community\, as well as an Opening Ceremony and Participant Dance to give participants a full multi-sport experience of partaking in Games Culture. \nWhether you are a seasoned veteran of competition or new to your sport\, there is an opportunity for you to participate at the Games.
