DESCRIPTION:Glenridge Acres is proud to be hosting the 2023 BC Provincial Mountain Bike XCO Championships on Saturday\, June 3\, 2023.\nThis event is open to all ages and abilities.  Races will be held throughout the day\, and there are race categories for all! \nYouths race at 10am. \nMasters/Open Sport Novice race at 12:30. \nElites and Juniors at 3pm. \nCome for the day. Race your race\, then watch the best in the Province.  Food on site. Free camping. Spectators welcome. \n$60 for adults. $40 for youth. \nFAMILY PRICING: Also new this year is FAMILY PRICING. Any parent can register their child for FREE in the same Glenridge event they’re registered for. So register for the 12HoursofGlenridge\, and your kids race free. SUMMARY:The Agency Cycling Festival | BC Criterium Championships
DESCRIPTION:View Time Trial Results \nView Road Race Results \nView Omnium Results \nTech guide and event information\n  \nThe AGENCY CYCLING FESTIVAL  celebrates the bicycle in the areas sport\, arts\, and culture.  Bicycle Racing Action will draw hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators in a 3 day stage race featuring the disciplines of Time Trial\, Road Race\, and Criterium.  The North Saanich Time Trial features a 6km technical circuit where racers will be limited to using conventional road bikes in order to level the playing field.   The Road Race is the iconic Metchosin Course that has hosted past BC and National Championships and is considered one of the most difficult race courses in BC.  The 2022 event marks the return of the BC Criterium Championships\, which will feature thrilling downtown racing around the BC Legislature. \nElite Men/Women\, U19\, and Masters are required to register and start in all 3 races in order to score Omnium Points.  Each race awards points to the top finishers\, where the athlete who has accumulated the most points awarded as Series Champion.  Racers may elect to race any one or two events\, however\, no omnium points will be awarded in this casse. \nUnlicensed Racers may only register in the Time Trial and will be required to purchase 1 day insurance. \nThe event is the continuation of over 20 years of hosting bicycle race events in Victoria\, BC. Since 1992\, Victoria has hosted the 1994 Commonwealth Games Cycling events\, World Cup Track\, Provincial Road and Track Championships\, Bastion Square Grand Prix\, and Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series\, which have spearheaded the carriers of some of Canada’s best cyclists and Olympians.  The event is proudly supported by Cycling BC and Cycling Canada as a means to nurture and grow grass roots cycling\, engage with the community\, and act as a platform for the champions of the sport. \nJune 3 – North Saanich Time Trial 6:00pm to 8:00pm \nJune 4 – Metchosin Classic Road Race  7:30am to 2:00pm \nJune 5 – The Agency grand Prix – BC Crit Championships 8:00am to 2:00pm \nJune 5 – Cycling BC Hop on p/b iRide Expo 11:00am to 12:00pm

No mountain bikes or flat bars.  Bikes cannot have fenders\, racks\, mirrors or other accessories that may pose a safety risk to the race.  No E-bikes allowed in any category.\nThe course will be marked along with Traffic Marshals in place. Fines and/or disqualifications will occur.\nHelmets are to be worn anytime you are on a bike.\nRiders are only allowed to race in the category and start wave they are registered in. There is to be no racing with other groups outside of this.  If you are passed by another category group during the race\, you must let it pass and continue on your own.\nIf you are dropped\, you must keep to the right side of the road. No riding side-by-side.\nCentre line rule is in effect at all times.\nOnce your race is done\, you must immediately exit the finish line area. There is to be no standing or loitering near the finish.\n\nFeed Zones and Mechanical Support  \n\nFeed Zone is located along 256th street across from the school entrance. It will be marked by cones.  Riders and their support staff are responsible to remove all their garbage\, empty bottles etc.  Feeding is not allowed on first and last lap.\nThere is no neutral mechanical support for this race. It is the responsibility of all riders to be self sufficient on the course.  Wheel service is available at the feed zone.\n\nTime-Cuts \n\nTime cuts will be in effect. You will be notified of the time prior to your race.  If you are outside of the time limit\, you will be stopped once crossing the finish line.  You will get a result.  Everyone will finish on the same lap as the winner in your category.\n\n  \nPodiums and Prizes \n\nTop 5 results will be posted immediately following the race. DESCRIPTION:Results Race 1\nResults Race 2\nResults Race 3\nResults Race 4\nTech Guide and race schedule. \nEvent Overview  \nCycling BC and ChainLine Cycle are proud to present the School of Hard Knox 2019 BC Cyclocross Provincial Championships being held on November 10\, 2019 at Knox Mountain Park in Kelowna\, BC. \nVenue  \nKnox Mountain Park is Kelowna’s largest natural area park\, with over 300 hectares supporting runners\, hikers\, cyclists and more\, located immediately north of Kelowna’s downtown at Knox Mountain Dr. \nSchool of Hard Knox is classically a part of the BC Interior Cyclocross (BCICX) series and has been hosted at Knox Mountain Park for the past 8 years. The Provincial Championship races will not formally be a part of the BCICX series but is taking place a week following the BCICX series finale in Penticton\, BC. \nThe course is traditionally twisty\, running through a semi-wooded area of the park. It will include sections of gravel\, grass\, forest floor\, hardpack dirt and sand. Weather conditions in November are traditionally snow-free in the Okanagan but anything can happen; the race will be held come rain\, snow or shine except in the event of unsafe weather (lightning\, overwhelmingly strong winds)\, for which race officials may delay or cancel racing. \nParticipation\, Sanctioning\, Prohibited Substances and Licensing  \nBy registering for this event\, racers agree to follow and be bound by the rules and procedures outlined in this Technical Guide and of the International Cycling Union (UCI)\, Cycling Canada and Cycling BC. \nThe School of Hard Knox 2019 BC Cyclocross Provincial Championships are sanctioned by Cycling BC\, Cycling Canada and the UCI. \nEntry fees are non-refundable. \nAthletes participating at the 2019 BC Championships requiring the use of a medication included on the Prohibited List (available at www.cces.ca/prohibited-list) must have a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) prior to participating in the event. This applies to all categories of athlete. For more information and to apply for a TUE\, visit www.cces.ca/therapeutic-use-exemptions. \nAll Championship category racers must have a valid Cycling BC Provincial Race License\, a Cycling BC UCI License or a UCI License from another jurisdiction and must present their license upon package pickup and on demand at the event. Domestic licenses are not permitted for Championship categories and no day-of licensing for the Championship categories will be available. \nOpen category racers must have at least a valid Cycling BC Provincial Ride License. Day-of licensing will be available for purchase at sign-on. \nThe categories are defined as per UCI rules based on year of birth. Cyclocross racing age for the Championship is the rider’s age as of December 31\, 2020. \nAll competitors must enter their event class as shown on their license unless they can present a letter from Cycling BC granting an upgrade; e.g. elites cannot race as masters\, nor vice versa without a letter of permission from Cycling BC. \nAny inquiries about upgrades to the Elite category should be directed to Cory Ostertag at membership@cyclingbc.net. All upgrades must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the race. \nEligibility  \nTo be eligible to win a BC Championship a rider must be a resident of BC and possess a valid Cycling BC Provincial Race License or a Cycling BC UCI License. \nShould a non-eligible rider place among the top three finishers in a Championship race category\, a podium presentation will take place based on the order of finish of the race and a second presentation based on the Provincial Championship results of eligible riders. \nCategories  \nThe following are the official BC Championship categories: \n\n• U13/U15/U17 Men & Women\n• Junior (U19) Men & Women\n• Elite Men & Women\n• 30-39 Masters Men & Women\n• 40-49 Masters Men & Women\n• 50+ Masters Women\n• 50-59 Masters Men\n• 60+ Masters Men\n• Single-Speed Men & Women\n\nThere will also be an Open Men & Women category for those not licensed to race in a championship category. \nEquipment  \nHelmets must be worn by ALL riders on or off the course whenever riding a bike. Grid positions will be allocated to each region based on 2018 event participation numbers. Grid position will then be assigned to riders based on their regional ranking. 3 spots on the first row of the grid will be reserved for the 2018 Provincial Championship podium members. \nEach region (Island\, Lower Mainland and Interior) will be responsible for reporting their regional results to Cycling BC by November 3\, 2019. Less experienced Junior and U17 athletes are welcome to race in non-championship ability categories. Racers who find that they are not matched well to their ability category will be able to change categories after the first event. \nIf an athlete aged 30 years old or over and wants to race in the Elite category for provincial events\, but wants to race Masters for national and international events\, he must take a Masters license and ask the provincial association to produce an upgrade letter to participate in provincial events in the Elite category. Request received after this date will be declined. \nRacers over the age of 30 with Elite licenses are not able to race in a masters category. \nMasters categories may be combined for some events where field sizes require it.
