DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nDo you already ride a bike and are ready to take the next step? Have you ever dreamed of becoming a professional bike racer? Let us help with the transition…Our team of professional and world-class cyclists along with other industry professionals have the tools to get you where you want to be. \nThe camp is ideal for riders of all ages and abilities. So whether you’re a current Junior National Champion or are brand new to track cycling\, you’ll be welcome at the velodrome. \nEach morning we’ll break into groups based on experience and ability to ensure that you get the most of your time at the track. The on-bike instruction will focus on skills development for each group; for more experienced groups there will be a focus on team events while less experienced riders will focus on bike handling and comfort in the pack \nThen\, after lunch\, we’ll all come together for in-class instruction. \n\n\n\nTOPICS TO BE COVERED:\n\n\nSponsor appreciation\n\n\nSports psychology\n\n\nRace tactics\n\n\nRecovery techniques\n\n\nHow to stay healthy on the road\n\n\nQ&A sessions with top cyclists\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION INCLUDES:\n\n\n4 Days of instruction from top coaches in the Province\n\n\nRental bike\n\n\nInsurance\n\n\nBurnaby 4 Day Registration\n\n\nChance to connect with peers from across British Columbia\n\n\nJersey\n\n\n\nThe Burnaby Velodrome is situated within the Harry Jerome Sports Centre\, located just below Simon Fraser University on the Barnet Highway in Burnaby. The Velodrome was built by Cycling BC and numerous volunteers between 1991 and 1997\, and opened its doors in November 1997 as the first indoor velodrome in North America. \nThe Burnaby Velodrome is\, without a doubt\, one of the most exciting cycling tracks in North America. Its relatively short length (200m) and steep banking (47degrees) make riding and racing far more thrilling than at the big outdoor velodromes. \n
