SUMMARY:NCCP: Advanced Practice Planning
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Practice Planning\nThis 5-hour module is facilitated online by CSI Pacific’s International Coaching School over 2 evenings. This module is part of the Comp-Dev coach development streams and is designed for anyone working with the provincial cycling team or a similar performance program. \nFor individual training sessions to effectively contribute to the overall objectives of an annual training plan\, a coach must understand the outcome of each training session and how their cumulative effects will contribute to athletic development. The Advanced Practice Planning module examines the impact of daily training sequencing and the manipulations that can affect training outcomes. \nAfter completing this module\, coaches will be able to: \n\nIdentify the factors that affect practice planning.\nEnsure that practice plans are consistent with the microcycles and phases of which they are part.\nSequence exercises in practice so that their order is consistent with the research on sequencing.\nDevelop a plan for training athletic abilities over a microcycle.\nDevelop a plan for training technical and tactical abilities over a microcycle.\nDevelop a plan for a microcycle that helps athletes taper before a competition.\n\nLearn more about this module here\, including home-study options here.  Learn more about becoming an NCCP-Certified cycling coach here. \nPre-Requisites: \n\nRegister as a Cycling BC Performance-Certified (cyclingbc.net/coachstart) for insurance purposes and track your progress (cyclingbc.net/coachaccount)

SUMMARY:Island Cup Enduro #1 - Sooke
DESCRIPTION:Details TBA \nEnduro is a style of racing where the overall race time is the sum of multiple timed stages.  It offers a bit more casual approach to racing as the uphill sections are not timed\, only the downhill.  Don’t let that fool you though\, there’s plenty of fitness and pedalling required to excel at this discipline. \nOn Vancouver Island\, course designers do their best to show off the most fun descents that the riding areas offer.
