SUMMARY:Fernie Femmduro
DESCRIPTION:Fernie Femmduro is where fierce meets fabulous. An enduro event designed for self-identifying women and non-binary riders who want to push their limits and have a damn good time doing it because being fast\, feminine and having fun don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Whether you’re launching the biggest drops or conquering your first technical feature\, badass looks different on everyone\, and we’re here for all of it. \nThe race stages wind through Mount Fernie Provincial Park\, showcasing the terrain that makes this place iconic. Fernie has a reputation for steep\, technical riding\, but here’s the thing: with this community behind you\, you’ll do things you didn’t think you could. We’re here to give you a boost\, both literally and figuratively. Choose between our Long Course for riders ready to push it\, or our Short Course for those building confidence and skills. \nBetween stages\, the energy is contagious. Social\, supportive\, and unapologetic. This is where you can be serious about your time splits and your mascara. Where pushing limits and having fun aren’t just compatible\, they’re the whole point. \nFernie Femmduro is brought to you by Anything Goes Event Series in collaboration with the Fernie Trails Alliance\, with local female riders leading the charge. Built by riders\, for riders\, this event celebrates everything we love about mountain biking in Fernie.

Red Bull Hardline British Columbia is heading to Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver between October 15-16\, 2026\, pushing the limits of what’s possible on two wheels. \nThe unforgettable course at Cypress Mountain will be incomparable to other downhill bike courses\, with elements borrowed from dirt jumping and BMX that are not allowed in the World Cup and other UCI races. These include massive jumps and gaps\, steep drops of 10m plus\, ‘rock gardens’\, and steep descents. \n2026 marks the 12th year of Red Bull Hardline since its inception in Wales in 2014\, and the first-ever race in Canada promises another unmissable showdown as the world’s most progressive male and female MTB riders push the limits on one of the most extreme courses in the sport. \nFor more information\, please visit: https://www.redbull.com/ca-en/events/red-bull-hardline-british-columbia/ \nInterested in volunteering for Red Bull Hardline? Private property that owners are opening up for this one day. \nWorried about how much energy you’ll expend? We’ll keep you fuelled along the route! And when you’re done\, there will be food and bevvy to help you recharge! \nThis event is a fundraiser for the Tripleshot Cycling Club youth cycling program and will support the development of year-round training for 11-18 year olds who train hard and love to compete in cross\, road\, track and mountain bike at local\, provincial\, national and international levels. Since 2016\, thanks to the generous donations of the participants\, we have been able to donate $16\,500 of the funds raised to support the South Vancouver Island Nature Trail Society and the South Island Mountain Bike Society\, two hard-working not-for-profits that work to connect and build trail systems for all to enjoy. \nThank you to those who have donated to the Lindsay Burgess Legacy Fund to honour the seven-time Tripleshot CrossFondo rider. A new fund has been set up through the Victoria Foundation that will assist women so they can offer mentorship and coaching to young riders as Lindsay did. Please visit and share this link. \nWe respectfully enjoy\, as visitors\, the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) and lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees) peoples of the Coast Salish Nation. We thank our hosts and honour their welcome and graciousness to those who enjoy the beauty of their land. \nView full event details at https://tripleshotcrossfondo.ca/ \n

The aim is to ride better and ride more\, at a time of year when a lot of riders stop. \nMeet your coaches\n Geza Rodgers from Port Moody has raced almost every kind of bike there is: BMX\, cyclocross\, road\, track\, XC\, enduro and downhill. She’s a Canadian U21 Enduro Champion and Junior Downhill National Champion\, and she represented Canada at the 2024 Downhill World Championships. Her all-round background makes her an amazing coach for riders building their foundations. \n Elly Hoskin is the 2025 Enduro World Champion. The Squamish rider has won the Canadian Open Enduro at Crankworx Whistler three years in a row\, and she was a regular on Enduro World Cup podiums as a U21 rider before stepping up to Elite. She’s a great example of what consistency and hard work can do. \nDress for the weather\nIt’s November on the North Shore\, so expect rain. Dress warm and in layers\, and bring a waterproof jacket\, full-finger gloves and a dry change of clothes for after. A wet ride outside is always better than no ride at all. \nWhat to bring\n\nA mountain bike in good working order\, suited to black trails (please make sure your brake pads aren’t down to the metal)\nHelmet and knee pads – we’re not getting too sendy\nWater\, snacks\, and a spare tube or repair kit\n\nEligibility\nThe series is designed for riders aged 14-16 who are comfortable on black trails\, who are interested in\, or already\, racing. SUMMARY:NCCP Coaching Course: Basic Cycling Skills and Skills & Tactics (Track)
DESCRIPTION:Coach Education Weekend at the Burnaby Velodrome\, November 28 and 29\nCycling BC is hosting a weekend of hands-on NCCP coach education at the Burnaby Velodrome Club on November 28 and 29. \nWhether you are a parent helping out at club practice\, a volunteer who wants to lead with more confidence\, or a coach working toward your next certificate\, this weekend is built around one idea: you learn to coach by coaching. Both days put you in front of a group\, teaching real skills and getting feedback from an experienced Learning Facilitator. \nThe weekend at a glance\nWhere: Burnaby Velodrome Club\, 7564 Barnet Hwy. \nWhen: Saturday\, November 28 and Sunday\, November 29\, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm each day \nCost: $125 per day; register for one day or both \nRegistration closes: Thursday\, November 27 at 11:59 pm (spaces are limited) \nLearning Facilitator: Kurt Innes \nSaturday\, November 28: Basic Cycling Skills\nThe day starts in the board room with the skill-teaching model and lesson plans\, then moves outside to the velodrome parking lot. Participants take turns coaching the group through the foundational movements every rider needs\, from bike handling and braking to riding comfortably in close contact with others. \nThe focus is on skill analysis\, observation\, and corrective feedback\, so you leave knowing not just what to teach\, but how to spot what a rider needs and help them fix it. \n\nOpen to anyone 15 or older\, coaching any discipline\nBring a road\, mountain\, gravel\, or hybrid bike\, a helmet\, and warm layers\nCounts toward both the Community and Competition-Introduction pathways\n\nSunday\, November 29: Skills & Tactics Practical – Track\nSunday takes those coaching tools to the velodrome. The morning will be in the boardroom on track etiquette\, safety\, skills\, development\, and lesson planning. \nIn the afternoon\, you join a live youth track clinic\, observing young athletes in the Learn to Train and Train to Train stages. \n\nCome with two short lesson plans (one skill and one tactic)\nSkills & Tactics Theory and Saturday’s Basic Cycling Skills are recommended first\nTrack experience is helpful but not required\nA background check is required since you will work with youth.\n\nAlready certified?\nCoaches who hold Club-Assistant status or higher can audit either day free of charge\, space permitting. It is a great way to refresh your skills and mentor newer coaches. Email education@cyclingbc.net for a discount code; audit registration opens 7 days before the event.
