DESCRIPTION:Sign on: Kerry Park Arena\, 1035 Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road (1 km east of Highway 1) on the east side of the building in the curling rink from 1100 to 1145. \nMap: www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6226370 \nStart: Corner of Wilkinson Road and Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road just west of the Kerry Park Arena. First of the A\, B\, C ability-based groups starts at noon. \nDistance: 61 km (hilly) for Group A\, 51 km for group B\, and 41 km for Group C. There will be an option of a two-lap race (21 km) following behind groups A\, B\, and C. \nCourse: Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road to Shawnigan Lake village\, right on Shawnigan Lake Road\, right on Cameron-Taggert Road\, right back on to Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road and repeat 5 more times\, finishing at Carlton Drive about 150 m before Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road. \nRace Fee: $5 for under 19\, $15 for BCMCA members\, $20 for non-BCMCA members. Do not forget your VCL timing chip. Temporary chips will be available. \nAll riders must have a UCI Cycling for All membership or Race Licence or UCI Race Licence or proof of purchase. DESCRIPTION:The 2020 Sidney Velo Tuesday Time Trials will resume on July 7th! \n\nTuesday Time Trials\nWe hold a 17.4-km time trial every Tuesday evening from late April through mid August\, rain or shine – the riders decide whether it’s too wet to race. Open to all ages of cyclists and paracyclists\, in aerodynamic and non-aerodynamic (Merckx) categories.\nDate: Every Tuesday evening from April 21 through August 11 in 2020.\nTime: Sign-on at 6 PM\, Racing at 7 PM\nLocation: Registration/start/finish on Lochside Drive at the McTavish Road Interchange (at the east end of pedestrian/bicycle overpass over Highway 17) in North Saanich near Sidney\, B.C. \nParking: Time trial participant and spectator parking is in the BC Transit Park and Ride lot on the west side of Highway 17 at the east end of McTavish Road (2095 McTavish Road\, North Saanich). Please park in the southernmost part of the lot. Access to registration/start/finish is via the pedestrian/bicycle overpass across Highway 17. Please do not park on Lochside Frontage Road at the McTavish Interchange; those few spots are needed for our equipment\, first aid\, and volunteer vehicles. \nA minimum of 3 time trial times per season are required to win a category.\nInsurance: Every rider MUST show proof of insurance – a Cycling for All or Race License\, or an UCI Race Licence. If you don’t have one of these\, you must buy one at cyclingbc.net and bring it to the time trial. We no longer sell licences at the time trial.
