DESCRIPTION:Performance Theory\nThis module is officially titled: NCCP Competition Development Performance Cycling Workshop in the Coaches Association of Canada LOCKER system. \nCycling BC members 18 years and older may participate in the 85-hour Performance Coach (Comp-Dev) pathway\, including this Performance Theory workshop facilitated by Cycling Canada. \nThe Performance Coach pathway is for leaders who support and lead provincial or national team projects and manage Cycling Canada Trade Teams or international elite-amateur teams. The module helps you prepare to lead practices and events for participants in the “Train to Compete” and “Train to Win” stages of the Long Term Development. \nParticipants work through various individual and small group activities to discuss advanced sport-specific skills\, develop healthy travel habits\, and reinforce the importance of team building\, work/life balance\, and goal-oriented preparation. \nThe module is facilitated online over 6 x 3-hour sessions. Participants are expected to attend and actively participate in each session. Please ensure that your video and microphone are working well and that you have completed the pre-event homework (included in your registration confirmation email).
