SUMMARY:Island Cup Enduro #6 - Duncan Finals
DESCRIPTION:The Final Island Cup for 2023 is happening at Mt Tzouhalem.  Cycle Therapy and Cowichan Cycles are teaming up to put together another awesome event in Duncan.  We all know the trails are fast and flowy at Mt Tzouhalem so the course will be fun for everyone.  Finish off with some Tacos from Taco Justice\, some awesome swag\, and awards for the 2023 Island Cup Series Overall.  Bring your camp chairs and plan to hang out for all the good times after this race! \nEnduro is a style of racing where the overall race time is the sum of multiple timed stages.  It offers a bit more casual approach to racing as the uphill sections are not timed\, only the downhill.  Don’t let that fool you though\, there’s plenty of fitness and pedalling required to excel at this discipline. \nOn Vancouver Island\, course designers do their best to show off the most fun descents that the riding areas offer. \n  \nFor more information\, go to event website at: https://islandcupseries.com/enduro-racing/2023-island-cup-enduro-6-mt-tzouhalem-finals/

SUMMARY:Muc Off Cup (COTR #3)
DESCRIPTION:Muc-Off is not “just” the title sponsor of the Cross on the Rock Series but they are also back as title sponsor of the Muc Off Cup again this year! It is always great to have all their amazing products and Pete working hard washing bikes again (If needed). The Bowen park course is a classic. At the point of writing the chance of 5mm of rain that was “promised” earlier in the week seems to be gone…..which is sort of sad.  BUT the parks people will be happy as last year’s race needed some serious remediation! \nThe course will be similar to the last few years with a road section start\, into a  single track wooded climb\, quick down hill\, then onto the grass for lots of twists and turns before the infamous stairs and volley-ball court/sand section.  The volley ball court has a new perimeter fence around one side so the approach and path for that section will be changed.  For the most part the course will be similar to previous years but once we get into the bowl area it is up to the crew setting up on how our adventure looks! \nThe Stats!!\nThis race has some impressive stats over the history of the event. \n\nBiggest race of all time!  2019\n\n5th biggest in 2018\n6th biggest in 2017\n\n\nBiggest category of all time masters men 40-54 in 2019 with 88 racers\nMost DNF’s EVER in 2014\n\n4th most DNFs in 2010\n10th most DNFs in 2011\n\n\nLEAST DNF’s ever in 2016\n\n2nd least DNFs in 2019!\n\n\nTwo Time venue for the Provincial Cyclocross Championships\nMOST RAIN ever during one of our races for the 2021 Masters Men’s race.  It was INSANE!!\n\n  \nMore information can be found at: https://www.crossontherock.com/ \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/crossontherock/ \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/crossontherock
