Brandon has been a huge supporter of youth cycling development over the years. \nThe Mount Seymour climb is 13.1 km long. You gain 904 height meters\, so the average gradient is 6.9 %. The climb is ranked 2179 in the world. The maximum slope is 16%. We climb up from the road starting at the intersection near the Old Buck Parking Lot. DESCRIPTION:The Fall Edition of the 3rd Annual LANGFORD BIKEFEST presented by Advanced Self Storage proudly hosted by the City of Langford is Vancouver Island’s premier off-road bicycle event. To be held on September 7-9 the event is on track to draw 500 participants and hundreds of spectators. The BikeFest invites Cross Country MTB racers on Saturday September 7 to the Broad Street Cycles XCC Short Track. Sunday September 8 is the Rhino Coffee Super XC which combines elements of mass start XC Racing with Enduro. \n​The event will take place near the Jordie Lunn Bike Park Clubhouse that opened this past spring. The Clubhouse is a 5000 sq. ft. onsite facility that houses Rhino Coffee\, Broad St Cycles (offering bike repairs and rentals) and office space for Cycling BC\, Cycling Canada and Nolan Riding. \n​The venue is located at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park\, which serves as the crown jewel of cycling on Vancouver Island. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to welcome you to the Okanagan on September 13th/14th\, 2024 for the 9th annual Kettle Mettle Gravel Fondo. \nThis event holds it’s title as the oldest Gravel Fondo in Western Canada. Situated in the stunning Okanagan Valley\, our course carves its way through wildflower-blanketed canyons\, historic trestles\, and shaded decommissioned railway tunnels. You can expect panoramic views of crystal clear lakes as you climb and descend the sweeping switchbacks of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail. \nAlthough the one-day 138+ km Full Fondo Plus distance is still our marquee event\, we are also offering a 50km Medio and 100km Full Fondo distances. We’re very excited to host the 2024 BC Cup downhill race on our downhill race track. \nMark your calendars you don’t want to miss out on this one. \n2024 BC Cup Downhill at Coast Gravity Park\nCoast Gravity Park is excited to host the 2024 BC Cup Downhill race on September 13-15\, 2024. \nDates – Friday\, September 13th (practice day) and Saturday\, September 14th and Sunday\, September 15th (race days) \nPasses are for racers only\, but the public is welcome to watch. BC Cup racers must be 13 and older. \n\nCoach Plate Requirements at Downhill Races: Starting in 2024\, coaches planning to attend Cycling BC-sanctioned Downhill races will need to hold a UCI Technical COACH licence and be pre-registered for the event to get a coach plate and ride the course. DESCRIPTION:Pseudo ‘Cross\nTHRASHERS Pseudo ‘Cross is a preliminary race in anticipation of the upcoming fall series. No tape\, no sand\, no run-ups and no barriers. Just a 3km fast ripping circuit through the gravel and grass for kicks. Come get your LMCX numbers\, shake the dust off and get warmed up for the best time of the year – Cyclocross Season! \nIt’s gonna be one heck of a fall CX season and it all gets started on Saturday\, Sept 14 at the Aldergrove Bowl with Pseudo ‘Cross! \nWhat in tarnation is a Pseudo ‘Cross you ask? It is a wickedly fast race on a 3km circuit of gravel and grass. Staring in the main field the course traverses along the original gravel paths of Aldergrove CX up to the top of the bowl. Then around the exposed meadow loop where drafting and team tactics could come into play. A harrowing decent without touching the brakes? Then Nascar around the bowl and do it again. No tight turns or dismounting. \nIt is a new genre in bike racing – Gravel Short Track. No bike or tire restrictions.
