To access iRide support and start your own iRide Sprockids or extra-curricular iRide program in your community, please complete the following form.
  • Applicant Contact Information

  • An iRide Sprockids Leader can be either a teacher, principal, administrator or community member. This person is the program's head coach and organizer. Prior to starting the program, this leader must have completed their NCCP training, submitted a clear Criminal Background check, and be 19 years old. Youth leaders who wish to lead (16-18yr) may do so with an NCCP-trained adult chaperone.
  • To help us evaluate your application, please attach a copy of your CV, including coaching credentials and any experience in cycling. New cyclists are encouraged to apply.
  • Please list all other coaches in your program: Name, Email, Phone
  • Application Details

  • How many NCCP-trained leaders are involved?
  • How many leaders require additional training? Each leader is required to complete a minimum of 2 days of training, the 1st day is the NCCP Let's Ride, the 2nd day is their choice of more NCCP courses, an iRide Practicum, Sprockids Leader training, High Five HCD, CAN Train/Try-it, St. John First Aid.
  • Do you have any parents or non-NCCP-trained adults planning on attending to help tail-gun and ensure adult/child ratios stay within 1:7 (on trails) and 1:10 (open spaces).
  • Are you a first-year program requesting a grant? ($50-$150 per trained leader required), or a legacy program wishing to submit event details ($200 flat rate).
  • How many sessions are being offered? Cycling BC suggests 1 session / week, for 6 weeks. If you wish to offer a program 10-weeks or more, please contact us to explore how best to create a Youth Club instead.
  • How many participants are you expecting?
  • What is the cost to participants? Coaches invoice Cycling BC for 100% of these funds, but will only receive the funds once the post-event report with photo/text is submitted. If you wish to offer a free program, please note, all leaders must be Cycling BC members ($60/yr), and this program is designed to create value for cycling coaching in your area. We strongly suggest a price of $7-$10 per per session at a minimum. The maximum cost per session per rider is $15.00
