At iRide, we believe that your child’s first cycling coach should be one of our province’s best cycling coaches.
To do this, Cycling BC is creating self-sustaining cycling communities in all of British Columbia’s eight regional zones using a variety of program styles that match the diverse nature of our province.
iRide’s school programs provide professional staff equipped with bicycles and tools that make cycling as accessible as possible.
iRide Sprockids community programs connect kids with trained leaders passionate about cycling in their community.
iRide’s special events and memberships celebrate newly-acquired skills and connect new families with the local cycling community.
iRide is made possible by cyclists like you and is proud to work with a team of private donors who share our love for cycling, our commitment to BC’s youth and a passion for making positive change.
All of iRide’s school and extracurricular cycling programs are part of Cycling BC’s iRide skills & fitness pathway. Designed for children aged 6-16, this pathway provides participants with basic cycling skills, a foundation of fitness and a healthy appreciation for outdoor exercise with friends.
This pathway is also designed to activate communities and inspire new coaches to get involved.
With a wide variety of programs available, your child can begin their iRide experience at an in-school visit and develop through the ranks to the highest level they desire, including enrollment in a local youth club.
There are no pre-requisites for iRide. Riders who can ride a 2-wheel bicycle can join the iRide development pathway at any point. All of our programs are designed to complement existing youth cycling opportunities in your area and create memorable learning experiences.
