1. Learn How iRide Works
  2. Review the roles and responsibilities of an iRide Champion
    • Enroll a minimum of 4 classes and reserve adequate field space
    • Circulate iRide’s take-home letter to all parents four weeks before Day 1.
    • Facilitate registration reports and present to iRide staff on Day 1.
  3. Choose a program option below:
    • 3-day In-School Program
    • 1/2-day Field Trip
  4. Find available dates and submit a booking.
  5. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with our  iRide School Champion starter-kit, as well as an invoice for your booking deposit. The remainder of the fees will be invoiced due on the final day of our visit.

If you would like to create an extra-curricular cycling program at your school, iRide has development grants available to help get you started.

If your school is in need of additional financial support, please contact us. Through the generosity of our program supporters, we are happy to announce that each year, 5 schools will receive a fully-subsidized program.  For alternative sources of support, please review these BC Government DPAC grants.


In-School Programs

IRide In-School

3-day In-School program for 4-6 classes
100-180 participants, Grades 4-6
Rental bicycles & helmets provided
$750 per school, approx $5/student

iRide Field Trip

½ day Field Trip to local cycling venue
20-30 participants, Grades 6-12
50% of event cost
Transport available

After-School Programs

School Bike Club

Use an iRide Grant to receive training, equipment, insurance and mentorship. Use 8-wk Sprockids lesson plan
Start an elementary bike club; Grades 1-7.
Free for students.

BC School Sports MTB Team

Register with BC School Sports and create a Mtn. Bike team.
Riders participate in weekly district rides + Prov. Championship
Grades 8-12.
