  • Are bicycles needed? We have a bike fleet of 20-25 kids bikes operating in Zones 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 North and 6 South. If your school is outside of these areas, we will do our best to run a program but we cannot guarantee fleet access. In such a case, please select 0-5 bicycles, we can try to source loaner bicycles from the community to help support your program. Please note our fleets are designed for specific heights and due to safety reasons those who are taller may need to source their own bicycles. Please refer to the cyclingbc.net/bookings for details. For Spring 2020, we are hoping to create new fleets in specific communities. Please be aware that if you are in Prince George, Vernon, Castlegar/Rossland and Nanaimo, we will not be able to confirm if an expansion of our fleets is possible until December 1st.
  • Are helmets needed? We have helmets as part of our bike fleets in Zones 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 North and 6 South. If your school is outside of these areas, we will do our best to run a program but we cannot guarantee helmet access. Areas receiving an expansion of bike fleet for 2020 will also receive helmets.

  • We are very excited to open 2020 bookings this early! A first for us! In opening bookings for 2020 this early, we are hoping to demonstrate school demand and community interest to our donors and create opportunities for both provincial and regional supporters to help contribute to this initiative. You can help by spreading the word about our program to other school teachers and/or community organizations who may be interesting in joining us as a regional supporter. For 2020, we are also hoping to compensate our coaches more fairly, build sustainability in each region, and expand our program in new areas. We therefore request that teachers and principals acknowledge these goals and should be comfortable paying upwards of $1000 for the 3-day in-school program prior to requesting a booking. We are optimistic that we can continue offering the program at 50% of our "boots-on-the-ground" costs (which was $750 in 2017-2019).  We will be able to confirm the final cost of the program, specific to each region at a later date.
