BC Premier BMX Series Race #1 & 2 will be run in conjunction with the Canada Cup #1 & 2.

The Canada Cup series is a national series that features Elite & Junior riders along with Junior Development riders (14-16 years old).

About the series

BC BMX Premier Series races are the next level of racing where racers compete for a BC Premier Series ranking. Athletes must race a minimum number of 4 BC Premier events, as well as the Series Finals, to qualify for a BMX Premier Series ranking.

Series Structure

The series is operated in full compliance of the UCI regulations, Cycling Canada amendments along with BC Provincial amendments.

The series is open to all individual riders with a valid UCI license or BC Provincial licence.

American and other International riders are welcome to ride this series and will be eligible for series awards. They must either have to have a valid UCI licence or they will have buy a One-Event License / One Day Insurance. They also must ensure that they have out of Country travel insurance that has adequate accident and medical coverage while competing in Canada.

Scheduling

See club website/ Facebook group page for the specific schedule. Each day of racing will be run as a separate event.

There will be no extension of the Premier BMX Race past the Sunday, due to unforeseen delays or prolonged stoppages. Racing format may also be modified at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire in response to prolonged stoppages.

Cancelled Saturday events may be re-scheduled to Sunday if the schedule allows at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire, Technical Delegate, and event organizer.

Registration

On-line registration will be available on ccnbikes.com, with registration links to be published on each race event page.

On-line registration will be available until Wednesday 11:59 p.m. prior till the race weekend.

On-site registration will be available at the track prior to the race as follows:

  • Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Family Cap: $90 for first three riders, and $10 for each additional rider. Can only be purchased at the track.

Awards for the day

All Amateur Classes will receive an “Award of the Day”.

The “Award of the Day” will be a choice between trophy and Moto money.

Race Payouts

Elite Riders: Rider Purse (75% prize purse) plus 100% registration payback.

Junior Riders: Rider Purse (25% prize purse) plus 100% registration payback.

Masters Riders: 100% registration payback.

All Registration paybacks are paid out at the pre-registration rate, and minimum prize purse is $250. Each track can increase the Rider Purse payout at their own discretion.

Series Points

Riders must complete 4 of the 6 races and race the BMX Premier Race Finals to qualify for the Series awards. The riders best 4 results plus the finals will determine their overall standings for the Series. The rider with the most points in their category will be awarded BC BMX Premier Race Series Champion.

All series ranking ties will be broken by the results from the BC BMX Premier Finals.

Protests and Appeals

Race Results

Protests concerning the results of any first-round moto will be accepted for a period of 15 minutes following the results from that moto being posted. In any case, no protests can be accepted once the mottos for any main or semi-main in that class have been posted. The results from any main or semi-main can only be appealed within 15 minutes of the main or semi-main being run.

Race Points

Protests or appeals concerning series points will be accepted until 7 days prior to the series final. If an error has been made in the tabulation of points, it will be corrected. No changes to the series points will be made for the appeals concerning the results of individual races.

Final Series Standings

Appeals to the final series standings for series points will be accepted for a period of 15 days after the series final. If an error has been made in the tabulation of points, it will be corrected. No changes to series points will be made for appeals concerning the results of individual races. In the event that changes to the results of either series are made during this 15 day period, those affected by such changes are required to exchange any awarded plates or trophies as defined by the changes made to the series results.
