The Canadian Cycling Association has notified all its members of changes made by the UCI to the 2011-2012 UCI BMX Calendar Year. This change will align the BMX calendar to all other cycling sports.
From the UCI: “The UCI BMX International calendar 2011 – 2012, which started 1st August 2011 will be extended to 31st December 2012. Also the UCI ranking will continue until the final date of 31st December 2012.”
The CCA would like to inform all its members that “the effect of this calendar change will be minimal on the members of the CCA. The athletes most affected by this calendar change are those who are slated to move up a category July 31st 2012, now you will change categories after December 31st 2012.”
