BMX Training Camp Recap

From Adam Muys, Head BMX Coach:

The BMX provincial team met in Abbotsford for the second training session of the year.  The camp started indoors with an intense gate and first straight session.  Once the athletes completed 10 efforts we moved to the outdoor track.

Under beautiful blue skies, the athletes did some skill work on the outdoor track.  They worked on different lines through the rhythm section and by jumping over cones.  After this, the athletes moved to the Supercross hill.  For several athletes, this was their first time on the hill.  They slowly worked from braking all the way down the hill to jumping on to the case pad.  The more experienced group used the gate and practiced going in groups down the hill.  At the end of the day, everyone went down the hill and onto the case pad.   It was a very good first step for many of the athletes to the SX hill.
