Licensing for Canadian Masters Road Championships

Mark your calendar! The 2017 Global Relay Canadian Masters Road Championships presented by Lexus are coming to Vancouver! Cycling BC and event host NTSQ Sports Group is excited and hope you are as well. This year’s event marks the first time a National Road Championship has come to BC in 13 years.

YOU NEED TO CHOOSE YOUR CATEGORY NOW! RIDERS CANNOT RACE MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH AN ELITE LICENCE.

Before the season kicks off, we want to ensure all members are aware that to be eligible to race in the Global Relay Canadian Masters Road Championships p/b Lexus, racers will require a Masters UCI licence. Changes between Master and Elite are only possible at the time of annual licence renewal.

CHANGES BETWEEN ELITE AND MASTER ARE NOT POSSIBLE ONCE YOUR LICENCE HAS BEEN ISSUED.

If you have purchased an Elite licence in error and need to make changes to your licence before the racing season begins, please contact our membership services team at membership@cyclingbc.net. Mid‐season changes between Elite and Master are not possible. If you have not yet purchased your licence, sign up for a BC RACE licence here, and be sure to select the appropriate Masters category.

In support of our growing masters racing scene, initiatives are underway to include separate masters starts at the BC Premier Road Series and many races throughout the lower mainland, including BC Superweek. Although these initiatives have many moving parts for organizers and local authorities and are yet to be confirmed, we are making great progress.

NTSQ Sports is currently working with local communities and stakeholders on fine-tuning the details to deliver a world class cycling event with the 2017 Global Relay Canadian Masters Road Championships p/b Lexus. Courses for the Individual Time Trial, Criterium and Road Race will be released shortly, and registration is projected to open on January 30th.

To ensure you receive all information and official registration opening as it is released, sign up for further releases through NSTQ here.

NTSQ Sports is always looking to involve the community to create meaningful relationships and engage passionate volunteers, businesses, and other contributors eager to execute and celebrate bringing world-class events to our backyard. See you at the races.
