This memo is to clarify the format for the Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series race weekend in order to accommodate youth racers. i.e. (U19/U17/U15/U13)
- Participants aged U19 and younger receive a 50% discount if they register for any of the sanctioned events of the Cycling Series. Parents, please use the youth discount code “youthcomp” as you check out on the CCN registration page.Any adult racers who inappropriately use this discount code will not be permitted to race until they have paid the full registration fee by May 31. *Note that youth racers will be racing their assigned race category per what is indicated on their respective Cycling BC Licenses. Upgrade letters must be presented upon package pickup.
- Youth Girls that are Cat 4 license holders will race in same peloton with the other Cat 4 women in the Criterium and Road Race. The 50% discount will apply here.
- Youth Boys that are licensed Cat 3 and Cat 4 will race with the adults of the same category in the Criterium and Road Race. The 50% discount will apply here as well.
- Registration for a separate dedicated Youth Criterium Race on Sunday June 4 will be free. We have updated a dedicated registration page for this. http://www.victoriabikerace.com/youth
- In partnership with the Sidney Velo Cycling Club and through their generous contribution, we will recognize the youth riders in each category on the results and bring them to the podium for a prize presentation.
