Felix Burke of Team Quebec Special Guest at Coach & Athlete Conference 2018

Felix Burke’s love for bikes goes back to his early childhood. He discovered the world of cross country mountain bike racing at the age of 15. He has raced at both National and World Championships placing 3rd in U23 in Nationals in 2016 and 1st place Canada Summer Games in 2017.

Career Highlights:

  • 2013 Junior World Champs, Pietermaritzburg South Africa, 25th
  • 2014 Junior National Championships, 3rd
  • 2015 U23 National Championships, 5th
  • 2016 U23 National Championships, 3rd
  • 2017 Canada Summer Games, 1st

Felix had this to say about mountain bike racing, “Racing has given me the tools I need to overcome many of the challenges I face by introducing me to hard work, determination and perseverance. Through bikes and racing I have developed a community of close friends, encountered mentors and shaped a guiding philosophy that I use to make hard decisions. To me, bikes are the greatest adventure vehicles out there and I want people to enjoy the same experiences as I have. I believe that bikes can change lives, one pedal stroke at a time.

Felix will be participating as a special guest on the athlete panel at the 2nd Annual Cycling BC Coach & Athlete Conference on January 28, 2018 and explains why he is excited to be part of the conference.

“I am excited to be involved at this year’s Cycling BC conference because I want to share my experiences with all the passionate members of BC’s cycling community. I believe that I can share some good insights on how to use biking and sport to create a meaningful impact for others and how to harness it to help you achieve your goals.”

Cycling BC is honoured to have Felix as part of the event along with many other top-level athletes and speakers.
