Wheels are in motion for Cycling BC’s 6th Annual Evening of Champions

Cycling BC is pleased to announce that it will host its sixth annual Evening of Champions fundraising gala on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. As Cycling BC’s flagship fundraising event the gala was created to raise funds for Cycling BC’s high performance athlete development, iRide schools programming, and to celebrate Cycling BC’s athletes and their achievements. The evening brings together past & present champions of the sport, the business community, Cycling BC’s athletes, coaches, sponsors, board of directors, and staff.

“We are excited to bring together the cycling community to celebrate and share our successes at this year’s gala,” said Erin Waugh, Executive Director of Cycling BC. “Last year’s event helped us raise over $100,000 which enabled us to deliver youth cycling programming for tens of thousands of kids across the province and gave young BC athletes opportunities to achieve success at the national and international level. This is all made possible thanks to the continuing support of people who share our commitment to grow cycling in BC.”

This year’s gala will feature a gourmet west coast dinner, live and silent auctions, special guests, and an opportunity to meet some of Canada’s top athletes from BC. Each attendee will also receive a collection of fantastic swag items from our sponsors. Proceeds from the event will continue to support Cycling BC’s programs including High Performance & Athlete Development as well as the iRide program for 2019 and beyond.
