Podcast Episode 2: Solveig’s Adventure

Solveig Stoebe, an independent graphic designer, competitive bike racer, world traveller, adventurer and outdoor enthusiast currently based in Vancouver, BC, has become a familiar face on the cycling scene through her involvement as a cycling guide, spin instructor, youth coach, club rider, racer, and women’s winner of the 2017 RBC GranFondo Whistler.

On July 1, 2019, Solveig embarked on an adventure of a lifetime riding her bike from Vancouver to Montreal, connecting the two places she has had the fortune of calling home in Canada. To commemorate the one year anniversary of her cross-Canada ride, we asked Solveig to share her story with us on the Cycling BC podcast.

Listen as she shares her story about setting goals, pushing beyond the limits of her comfort zone, and overcoming challenges in the face of uncertainty.

Solveig’s adventure would not have been accomplished without a positive mental attitude. Through this journey, Solveig wanted to highlight and support the work of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and that is why she designed a special Jakroo cycling kit available for sale at shop.jakroo.ca/Solveig-Kit with partial proceeds being donated to CMHA.

We would like to thank Solveig for sharing her story with us and wish her many more adventures on the saddle! You can see more of Solveig’s work at http://solelydesign.com/
