Help Cycling BC Build a Strategy To Better Engage With You, the Cycling BC Community

Cycling BC members who held a membership in 2022 are invited to participate in a research project that Erin Waugh, CEO of Cycling BC (CBC) is conducting.

This project is part of the requirement for a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership at Royal Roads University. Ms. Waugh’s credentials with Royal Roads University can be established by contacting Dr. Kathy Bishop, Program Head, MA Leadership (Spring), Executive Leadership Specialization (MAL-XL), at 250.391.2600 ext. 4313 or via email at Kathy.Bishop@royalroads.ca.  Cycling BC has given permission to the researcher to access institutional mailing lists for the purpose of this invitation.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research project is to gather user experience data to help Cycling BC build a strategy to better engage with the Cycling BC Community, as well as enhance Ms. Waugh’s leadership practice to better serve Cycling BC. In addition to submitting the final report to Royal Roads University in partial fulfilment for a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership, she will also share her research findings with Cycling British Columbia.

WHAT: The research project will consist of an online survey, which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. The data gathered will inform the content of a focus group session, to be held with representatives from six distinct stakeholder groups: BMX, mountain bike, road and track, event organizers, clubs, and officials.

WHO: You have been invited to participate in the survey because you were a member of Cycling BC in 2022. Your decision to participate in the survey is purely voluntary and, should you choose to participate, your identity will remain anonymous to the researcher.

The research reports from the online survey will not contain any personally identifiable information, such as the participant’s name, and there is no way to trace the responses back to the research participant.
