DESCRIPTION:Camp Goals \n\n\n\n\n\nA challenging\, but fun weekend training camp for athletes in the early stages of 2017 race preparation\nRefine riding skills\n\nEfficiency vs. FullSpeed\n\n\nPerformance on demand and cognitive training\n\nMental approaches for successful racing\nFreelaptraining–mini-races while fatigued from morning session\nUp and Overs–exhaustive efforts followed immediately by technical skill use\n\n\nCombining dryland training with on bike development\n\nRefine lifting techniques\, muscular activation\, proprioception\nRecovery strategies\n\n\nBuild aerobic base\nTrain with other high performance coaches and athletes\nContinue to build a culture of athletic excellence across all disciplines\, athletes\, and communities\n\nCamp Athletes \n\nDiscipline: XC\, Enduro\, DH\nAdvanced to expert technical skills\, intermediate to expert fitness\n\nCan ride challenging blue and black trails\nCan ride for 2+ hours at 6/10 effort with short bursts when/where required\n\n\n\nSchedule \n10:15am SHARP \n\n\n\n\nMeet at Storm Squamish (40330 Tantalus Road)\nWear running shoes and gym clothes\nPack weather appropriate riding gear in a bag and bike\n\nboth bags and bikes can be left at Storm\n\n\nBags/lunches can be left in Joel’s car\nTrail bikes\nKnee pads are strongly encouraged\n\n10:30-12:00pm \n\nWarmup\nDryland circuit led by Joel Harwood and Mike Charuk\n\n\n\n\n\n12:00pm \n\nLunch\nBags can be removed from Storm and left in Joel’s car\n\n12:30pm-3:30pm \n\n\n\n\n\nLong distance endurance ride\n\nKnee pads are strongly encourgaed\n\n\n\n3:30pm \n\nPickup at St. John The Devine Anglican Church (right beside Storm)\n\nInterested athletes can sign up with Joel at joel@blueprintathletedevelopment.com or Mike at mikecharuk@yahoo.com.
