Upgrade forms MUST be submitted for all UCI ability category upgrades. All requests must be received at least 2 weeks in advance of the first race in which the rider might like to participate in the upgraded category. Incomplete requests will not be processed. All decisions concerning requests for upgrades are final and not subject to appeal.

Requests for upgrades outside the official upgrade policy may be considered on a case by case basis. See below for discipline-specific upgrade criteria.

Updates for 2016:

We are working with provincial clubs and organizers to provide more opportunities for BC riders to participate in races meeting the standards for UCI category upgrades. As such, the 2016 Escape Velocity Spring Series races will count towards upgrades in the updated policy, to be released soon.

We are looking to all clubs to become engaged in developing cycling and making these opportunities sustainable, by volunteering to train and participate as commissaires. Show your support and get involved!
