Cycling BC Statement on Okanagan Granfondo Penticton Incident

On behalf of the Cycling BC Board of Directors and staff, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to everyone impacted by the tragic incident that occurred during the Okanagan Granfondo Penticton on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Our thoughts are with the families, participants, organizers and the broader cycling community. We want to recognize the efforts of the first responders and everyone who stepped in to help.

We’re in contact with the event organizers and they are cooperating with authorities as they investigate the incident. Cycling BC remains ready to offer our support in any way we can.
