SUMMARY:Fire in the Mountains Enduro
DESCRIPTION:Round 1 of the Canadian Enduro League is being hosted in collaboration with the Fire in the Mountains Enduro and West Kelowna Fire Department Charitable Society. This race was featured as a part of our series in 2023 and we could not be more excited to be back in Kelowna. The season kickoff will be at the fast and twisty Smith Creek network. SUMMARY:Smith Creek Chainless Race
DESCRIPTION:Smith Creek Chainless Race is a charity event in support of Adaptive Adventures.  \nThe Smith Creek Chainless Race is a downhill mountain bike race aimed at a stress-free environment with max fun potential! Participants will pedal to the top of the Smith Creek Trail Network in West Kelowna\, BC\, where the chain on their bike will be removed. They will then race back down the designated trail to the bottom while trying to set the fastest time they can. \nOnly the downhill portion is timed. \nAbout the fundraiser:\nAdaptive Adventures has been something I’ve seen around the valley for some time now. I have friends who have been out on some adventures with them and they provide such an incredible service for a community that typically has so many barriers in front of them. The team at Adaptive Adventures do an incredible job of removing these barriers with the specialized adaptive equipment the have. \n

DESCRIPTION:Smith Creek Chainless Race is a charity event in support of the BC Children’s hospital. This will be the second annual race\, with last year bringing in over $6000 in support of the charity. \nParticipants will pedal to the top of the trail network where a local bike shop and mechanic will be stationed to remove your chain so you can race downhill chainless only having gravity on your side. \nOnly the downhill is timed. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Fire in the Mountains Enduro
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the Fire in the Mountains charity enduro race on May 15th 2022 at the Smith Creek trails in West Kelowna BC. The West Kelowna Professional Firefighter Association is stoked to welcome riders to the first-ever enduro race in West Kelowna BC with proceeds given back to the BC Burn Fund\, West Kelowna Trail Crew Society\, Cris Adaptive Adventures and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club. And I’m thrilled to be able to do so and give back through West Kelowna Fire and Rescue’s Charitable Society to support some really awesome local charities! – Anthony Evans\n\nThe goal of this race is to provide the community with a fun weekend of riding\, and for seasoned racers\, a warm-up race for the rest of the season! Additionally\, we will give back 100% of the funds to important local charities. This includes the BC Burn Fund who support burn victims in their recovery\, the West Kelowna Trail Crew Society who maintains trails in West Kelowna\, Cris Adaptive Adventures who provide accessibility to the outdoors for the people with disabilities\, and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club.
