Riders can choose from a 1-day ride from Crescent Beach in White Rock to Chilliwack on June 25th or continue on with our more challenging 2-day ride to beautiful Manning Park on June 26th.   All riders are invited to dinner at the Coast Chilliwack Hotel for a celebration dinner and informal\, fun awards ceremony. \nGearUp4CF is a fully supported ride and has raised nearly $2 million since it started! DESCRIPTION:The Tour de White Rock weekend wraps up with the renowned Peace Arch News Road Race\, which takes cyclists through the beautiful landscapes of White Rock’s hilly seaside. Semiahmoo Bay and Mount Baker provide picturesque backdrops as spectators watch the action from restaurants and shops along Marine Drive. \nThis race tests the athletes’ endurance and stamina. The long steep climbs\, sharp turns\, and quick descents along this course demand keen attention\, clever tactics\, and toughness known to seasoned cyclists. The men start at 9:00am ahead of the women at 9:05am from the start/finish line at Marine Drive at the Pier. The men’s course is 130 km (11 long laps and 5 short laps) and the women’s course is 80 km (8 long laps). The women’s race takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete and the men’s race takes approximately 3.5 hours. Now in its 36th year\, the Peace Arch News Road Race is one of the most prestigious and historic races in North America. \nNEW! It consists of the Homelife Realty Hill Climb that goes up a 700m 16% gradient. The Choices Markets Criterium is in the heart of White Rock and the historic Peace Arch News Road Race ends the weekend Tour with one of the most challenging road races in the Pacific North West. \nThe first event in the Tour de White Rock features the Choices Markets Criterium\, where racers reach speeds of up to 70 km/hr as they race on a 1-km circuit that loops from Johnston Road\, around five corners\, past City Hall and back around White Rock Elementary. This late afternoon/early evening event starts at Johnston Road and Roper Avenue with the men’s category 3 & 4 cyclists racing\, followed by the women’s professionals 1\, 2 & 3 cyclists at. The final group to hit the course is the men’s pro race\, which will include professional and category 1 & 2 cyclists. The exciting shoulder-to-shoulder sprints of the ‘Crit’ provide many thrilling moments as competitors surge ahead to chase cash in the prime (pronounced ‘preem’) laps. Racing in the lead pack and maneuvering for position is as exhilarating for the competitors as it is for the spectators. \n  \nNEW!
