Ridge Meadows’ BMX Provincial Championships is a single day, age-based championship event sanctioned by Cycling BC and is run according to the applicable Union Cycliste International (UCI) and Cycling Canada (CC) regulations. The event is being held at Ridge Meadows BMX in Pitt Meadows on May 28th, 2022. Winners will be determined based on their results during the event.
Eligibility
All athletes must have a Cycling BC Race License
- UCI Racing Licence
- BC Provincial Race Licence
- Single Event Licence are not available for this event
Event Regulations
This event is sanctioned by Cycling BC and is run according to the applicable Union Cycliste International (UCI) and Cycling Canada (CC) regulations.
- This is an age group race (there are no class distinctions) to decide the Provincial Champions for each age group.
- Riders aged 12 and under must use flat pedals with no interlocking pedal-cleat system
- Full face helmets must be securely fastened, and full finger gloves worn when ever the athlete is on the track
- Plates are mandatory to be on your bike whenever you are on the track, this includes practice times.
- Since we expect many outside riders to this race, we will not be enforcing the plate colour rule and you will be allowed to use your BMX Canada plate. For this weekend event only.
- For the same reason, if you happen to have a number on your jersey, you will not be asked to remove that jersey.
- Championship Men (Junior/Elites) must take the pro section and jump the gap
- Championship Women (Junior/Elite) can take the amateur line
