Partnership Agreement

This partnership aims to connect our community, strengthen the quality of instructor and coach education across the province, and provide opportunities for future partnerships. With the accreditation of BMX as an Olympic event in the 2000s and the subsequent affiliation of most BC-based tracks with BMX Canada, this new partnership aims to move forward together, creating an exciting opportunity for all North American BMX athletes ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

Starting July 2025, we are happy to announce the following exchange of services to benefit families, facilities, and community leaders:

1) All BMX Canada-affiliated tracks in British Columbia are permitted to dual-affiliate with BMX Canada and Cycling BC

  • BMX Canada is covering the annual affiliation cost.
  • Clubs can apply for ViaSport grants.
  • Clubs can bid to host a Provincial, National, or Canada Cup Championship event.
  • Clubs remain insured by their existing primary insurer, either BMX Canada or Cycling BC.

2) All BMX athletes and families can now access:

3) Cycling BC and BMX Canada work in tandem to revise instructor training materials for use in British Columbia.
