Shredders & Survivors p/b City of Coquitlam (24 spots)
Spend half the day mountain biking with Cycling BC’s iRide coaches tackling hills, skills, and stunts. Then become an outdoor adventurer through survival skills and games, orienteering, basic shelter building and hands-on team building activities. Participants must have prior biking experience and be comfortable with: using gears to ride up a hill for 2-3 minutes, ride a bike with 1 hand, lift the front wheel, ride off a sidewalk curb smoothly. Camp includes a trip to the Burnaby Velodrome cycling track. Rental equipment and storage is available free of charge. Biking offered by Cycling BC’s iRide program.
Each day includes 3hrs of cycling and 3hrs of survival skills. All rental bike gear and climbing gear are provided. Pre and post-care are available and provided by the Victoria Community Center. Cycling BC provides bicycle storage for the week of the camp. Transport to cycling venues to arranged by Cycling BC. Bicycle storage is provided by Cycling BC.
Open to ages 9-11, iRide Level 4-5
All sessions are covered by Cycling BC’s insurance policy with Jones Brown.
