TheBluMoose Ascent & TheBluMoose Gravel at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Golden, British Columbia

TheBluMoose Ascent, June 11th, 2021

A 10KM ride ascending the iconic ski hill at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (KHMR).  From the base of the mountain, ride “It’s A 10” gravel route to the summit where riders will have breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky Mountain and Purcell Mountain ranges. This ride is totally unique.  KHMR has granted TheBluMooose special permission to hold the only base to summit uphill ride on this mountain.  Click on the Gallery Tab to view Photos of the 2019 ride up the Mountain.

Sign In: 3:00pm, Depart 4:00pm KHMR Plaza (located at the base of the Resort)

Finish: KHMR Summit.  Riders will descend the mountain by Gondola returning to KHMR Plaza.

Aid Station: TheBluMoose Food & Drink Station will be made available at the summit providing fruit, snacks, soft drinks and water.

TheBluMoose Gravel, June 12th, 2021

A gravel ride departing from the KHMR Plaza and travelling along the West Bench of the Columbia Valley. Participants can choose the 100km Parson Route, the 200km Brisco Route and new for 2021, the 300km Radium Route.  All routes will start and finish at the KHMR Plaza.  Ride the stunning routes through the wilderness of southern British Columbia which provide spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, the Purcell Mountains and the Columbia Valley Wetlands.  Be part of this epic journey.   Click on the Gallery Tab to view photos from the 2019 event.  Registration for this event will be limited to 200 riders.

Sign In: 3:00pm – 6:00pm, June 11th or 4:30am, June 12th.  Depart: June 12th, KHMR Plaza, 5:00am for the 300km Route, 7am for the 200km Route and 9am for the 100km Route.

Finish: KMHR Plaza.

Aid Stations: TheBluMoose Food & Drink Stations will be available to all riders for all distances every 50km.  A wide variety of sandwiches, fruits, snacks, soft drinks and water will be provided.

The $200 registration fee allows entry to BOTH TheBluMoose Ascent AND TheBluMoose Gravel.  Ride both days, ride one day, riders choice.
