Upcoming NCCP Coaching Courses available to all

Anyone interested in becoming a trained and certified coach is welcome to attend one of Cycling BC’s coaching courses being offered in December and January.

Cycling BC is opening these coaching courses to the entire BMX community in British Columbia.  Earlier this season we were faced with an insurance issue for trained coaches who would be coaching non-affiliated activities.  We have since found a solution and would now like to offer the course to anyone interested in becoming a trained and certified coach.

Conan Cooper, our Director of Development will be leading the Community Cycling course.  He believes that “we need to work collaboratively to develop the sport, and that those who work with youth are supported through training to provide the best experiences possible for young riders.  I’ll point out that coaches who get trained in the NCCP will be responsible to determine their own risk and where they can teach youth.”

Upcoming Courses:

NCCP “Let’s Ride” Community Cycling Coach
December 16, 2012, 0900-1700h

NCCP “Ready to Race” BMX Skills & Tactics
January 26, 2013, 1100-1700h
