Canadian Women’s Team Pursuit Team Wins Silver at UCI Track World Cup MEXICO Dec 6 2013

The Canadian & British Women’s Team Pursuit squads battle it out again.
Team Canada make to the track finals against Great Britain, but the Manchester team of Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Danielle King and Joanna Rowsell were the better athletes of the day, and set a track record of 4:16.552 at an average speed of 56.128 kph.
GOLD: Team Britain 4:16.552
The Canadian Women’s Team of Stephanie Roorda, Laura Brown, Jasmin Glaesser and Gillian Carleton road a great ride with average speed of 54.717 kph.
SILVER: Team Canada 4:23.172
The Australian Team of Isabella King, Amy Cure, Melissa Hoskins and Rebecca Wisiak came third against the USA Track team.
BRONZE: Team Australia 4:22.533 beating out team USA.

NOTE: World Record set at 4:19.115 by GBR ­ Great Britain Aguascalientes (MEX) 5 DEC 2013; Team Canada’s qualifying time 4:19.629 so close!
