Cycling BC and BONDtraining Link Up to Offer Dryland Training for Cyclists

Cycling BC is proud to announce a new partnership with BONDtraining, a strength training & cycling coaching business with locations in North Vancouver and South Surrey. The partnership will provide Cycling BC’s U17/U19 athletes and members from all cycling disciplines and ability levels with the opportunity to improve their riding through a 4-month strength training program specifically designed for cyclists. 

“We’re thrilled to have BONDtraining as part of our network of high-performance sport practitioners this season,” said Joel Harwood, Cycling BC’s Provincial Head Coach. “This partnership will help prepare our athletes for the upcoming season and challenge them in new ways that will propel their fitness to the next level both on and off the bike.”

Jason Bond is the owner and head trainer of BONDtraining. Bond has worked with cyclists of all levels, from weekend warriors to national champions. As a personal trainer and a cyclist himself, Jason has firsthand experience knowing how strength training can improve cycling performance.

The BONDtraining program requires no gym experience as participants will be guided each step of the way in a supportive group training environment. Cyclists from all disciplines are invited to build strength, power, stability, and resilience through a gym training program that is designed specifically for cyclists by cyclists.  

“Linking up with BONDtraining is a great opportunity for our athletes to stay fit and build strength year around,” said Tara Mowat, Athlete Development Manager at Cycling BC. “Providing access to BONDtraining’s well-equipped facilities and being able to tap into Jason’s expertise as a trainer and competitive cyclist gives our athletes another key tool to help them reach their goals.”


The Cycling BC Dryland Training Program is targeted, but not exclusive, to U17/U19 athletes and will be offered at two locations:

The Winter Dryland training program is designed specifically to build a stronger, more powerful, resilient rider, while also helping to improve mobility, stamina, focus and your watts/Kg. This program is a 4-month investment training from January to April. It is designed to achieve maximum results complement other training activities and still enjoy winter activities-riding, skiing etc.

SOUTH SURREY (1x/week) – Mondays – 6:30am – JAN 9 – APRIL 24 – 14 Sessions (No Sessions Feb 20, Apr 10) – LOCATION: Unit 24 3033 King George Hwy

NORTH VANCOUVER (2x/week) – Tuesdays & Thursdays – 5:30pm – JAN 10 – APRIL 27 – 32 Sessions – LOCATION: 140-890 Harbourside Drive (L10 Fitness & Health)
