Cycling BC’s Mowat Receives Inaugural CAN Fund #150Women BE EPIC AWARD

Cycling BC acknowledges and congratulates our very own,  Tara Mowat, Athlete Development Manager, for receiving one of the inaugural Canadian Athletes Now (CAN) Fund #150Women BE EPIC AWARDS for her leadership, impact, and contribution to the cycling sport community.

For over 12 years, Tara has been a guiding light and has worked tirelessly to support the development of young athletes in Cycling BC’s high-performance programs, helping them achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. As Tara’s athletes perform in the spotlight, her work is done behind the scenes or when no one is watching, so we are thrilled to see her receive the recognition she deserves. Cycling BC is honoured to have Tara as part of our team.

Cycling BC extends a thank you to CAN Fund #150Women who do amazing work recognizing EPIC women. The CAN Fund #150Women BE EPIC AWARDS were created to celebrate and recognize the EPIC women in the world who are leaders, trailblazers, dreamers, doers and so much more. CAN Fund #150Women is a national philanthropic community of women committed to supporting female athletes and each other.

Nominations for the awards were accepted from across the country until December 31, 2023, and the winners were announced at a CAN Fund 20th Anniversary Gala on February 28, 2024, in Toronto.
