Cycling BC is pleased to announce the results of the 2026 Board of Directors election and welcomes the board directors who will help guide the organization through the next phase of its strategic journey.
Following the close of voting on June 13, 2026, and as announced at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, Cycling BC members elected two directors to serve on the Board. We are pleased to congratulate Matthew Cooperwilliams and Lister Farrar on their election to the Board of Directors. Both were seeking re-election and will continue to bring their experience, leadership, and commitment to serving the Cycling BC community.
Cycling BC expresses its appreciation to all seven candidates who put their names forward for election. Standing for election requires a commitment and willingness to serve the broader community in a volunteer capacity, and Cycling BC is fortunate to have so many members prepared to contribute their energy to the organization. We thank each candidate for their participation in this year’s election.
Thank you also to all eligible members who participated in the election process by casting a vote. By participating, members help ensure the organization remains accountable to and representative of the cycling community.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank outgoing directors whose terms have come to an end—Charles Russell brought valuable racing and youth development experience, while Todd Hansen offered an essential race organizer’s perspective to the Board. We appreciate their selfless contributions to Cycling BC over the past several years.
